For whom

The CFGB are part of basic education, together with the stages of Primary Education and Compulsory Secondary Education. In addition, they are part of the Vocational Training of the educational system, together with the Intermediate Level Training Cycles, the Higher Level Training Cycles
and the Specialization Courses.

The teachings of the CFGB are organized in three areas:

• Communication and Social Sciences. Includes the subjects of Spanish Language, Social Sciences and Foreign Language (English).
• Applied Sciences. Includes the subjects of Applied Mathematics and Applied Science.
• Professional Field. It includes modules associated with units of competence of the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications.

Completion of all the areas of a CFGB leads to the award of the ESO Graduate Degree and the Basic Technician Degree in the corresponding professional specialty (Basic Professional Degree in Administrative Services).

Duration

2,000 hours, equivalent to two academic years.

General competence

The general competence of the degree consists of performing basic administrative and management tasks, with autonomy, responsibility and personal initiative, operating with the indicated quality, observing the environmental and occupational health and safety regulations in force and communicating orally and in writing in Spanish and, where appropriate, in the co-official language of the student’s own country, as well as in a foreign language.

Access

In order to access a Basic Grade Vocational Training cycle, the student must simultaneously meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 15 years old or turn 15 during the current calendar year.
• To have completed 3rd year of ESO. Exceptionally, it is possible to access after 2nd year of ESO.
• The teaching team has proposed to the parents or legal guardians the incorporation of the student to a basic level training cycle.
