Personal assistants play a key role in the lives of the people they support. However, this work is also rewarding for the professionals themselves. They help dependent people with physical or intellectual disabilities in their day-to-day lives. From shopping to accompanying them to the bank.

Castilla y León is the second autonomous community with more personal assistants. From entities such as Fundación Personas we value very positively this figure for a territory like ours, which has the highest rate of people with disabilities in Spain, 100 cases per 1,000 inhabitants.

The entities strive to reach the areas with fewer opportunities and extend it to rural areas, such as the pilot program promoted by the Social Services Department of the Family Council of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, Rural Care.
