ASPANIS Palencia
ASPANIS PALENCIA is a public interest association set up in 1964 by the parents of people with intellectual disabilities. It is a non-profit organisation based in Palencia and has 450 members. ADECAS is also a founding member of the Castile and León Full Inclusion family movement, through which it shares values and principles of action.
In 2008, ASPANIS formed The People Foundation along with other similar associations in the region (ADECAS Guardo, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora) and, in 2010, managed the services, while the association focuses on defending the rights and providing support to families and members.
ASPANIS’ mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, which we do (according to our Statutes) through and in collaboration with The People Foundation.
