ASPANIS Palencia

ASPANIS PALENCIA is a public utility association created in 1964 by mothers and fathers of people with intellectual disabilities. It is a non-profit organization based in Palencia and has 450 members. ADECAS is also a founding member of the family movement Plena Inclusión Castilla y León, with which it shares values and principles of action.

In 2008 ASPANIS formed Fundación Personas together with other similar associations in the region (ADECAS Guardo, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora) and in 2010, from the foundation, we manage the services, while the association focuses on advocacy and support to families and associates.

The mission of ASPANIS is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, which we do (according to our Bylaws) through and in collaboration with Fundación Personas.
