ADECAS Guardo
ADECAS GUARDO is a public utility association created in 1984 by mothers and fathers of people with intellectual disabilities. It is a non-profit organization based in Guardo and has 128 members. ADECAS is also a founding member of the family movement Plena Inclusión Castilla y León, with which it shares values and principles of action.
In 2008 ADECAS formed Fundación Personas together with other similar associations in the region (ASPANIS Palencia, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora) and in 2010, from the foundation, we manage the services, while the association focuses on advocacy and support to families and associates.
The mission of ADECAS is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, which we do (according to our bylaws) through and in collaboration with Fundación Personas.
