ÁNGELES GARCÍA TAKES OVER FROM MANUEL FERNÁNDEZ AS PRESIDENT OF THE FOUNDATION.
This new stage sets its sights on the major objectives of growth, sustainability and diversification established in our 2017-2021 Strategic Plan, which aims to expand the range of services offered in Castilla y León by activating new responses to new needs in the fields of Education, Employment and Social Services.
Within this strategic framework, the Bylaws have also been modified to include as beneficiaries of the Foundation any person in a situation of dependency or with any type of disability, as well as those who are part of the so-called groups in a situation or at risk of social exclusion.
Criteria of transparency and good governance have also been introduced in internal operations, while the size of the Board of Trustees has been reduced in order to increase agility and participation.
Ángeles García has a deep knowledge of the disability sector and has a trajectory that places her as a person of reference, having previously held the presidency of ASPRONA and Plena Inclusión CyL. She is also a woman fully identified with the wishes, concerns and demands of all families.
The new Board of Trustees of Fundación Personas wishes to express its gratitude to Manuel Fernández for his extraordinary contribution over so many years to the benefit of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, in the promotion of rights, opportunities and quality of life.
This gratitude is extended to all the people who have generously and with great involvement carried out the responsibility of trustee since the Foundation was established almost twelve years ago.
All this approach continues to have at its peak the person with intellectual disabilities, who together with his family and the daily work of each professional constitute our raison d’être.
