The Rector of the USALJuan Manuel Corchado and the new president of Fundación Personas, Carlos Martín, signed a collaboration agreement for the creation of the Chair “Fundación Personas: Disability and future”, promoted by the INICO.
The University of Salamanca and Fundación Personas have formalized a collaboration agreement that marks a milestone in the joint commitment to inclusion and the rights of people with disabilities. As a result of this agreement, the Chair “Fundación Personas: disability and future” was created, promoted by the University Institute for Community Integration (INICO) and directed by Professor Cristina Jenaro, together with a team formed by Emiliano Díez Villoria, director of INICO, and Professor Noelia E. Flores Robaina.

Among the objectives of this innovative chair are the creation of a space of reference for research, training, knowledge transfer and dissemination of projects and initiatives that favor a positive impact on the quality of life and citizenship of people with disabilities, their families and professionals in the sector.
The activities of the Chair promoted by INICO and Fundación Personas will focus on three main areas: training, research and dissemination . Internship programs will be developed in social enterprises, postgraduate scholarships, TFM tutoring, doctorates and university micro-credentials focused on the inclusion of vulnerable groups and the promotion of new employment opportunities.
In the field of research, both entities will collaborate in studies on quality of working life, artificial intelligence applied to the social sector, development of social and health patents and awards for academic work related to inclusion and scientific articles.Finally, the agreement provides for the dissemination of content and research conducted through corporate websites, management of social networks and periodical publications, as well as the organization of technical seminars, conferences and seminars.






Both entities thus join their experience and research capacity to generate applied knowledge to help transform the model of support for people with intellectual disabilities, their families and professionals who accompany them. “This Chair represents an open door to new forms of collaboration between academia and the third sector in Castilla y León to continue improving the lives of people”, said Carlos Martín, president of the Chair.said Carlos Martín, president of Fundación Personas.
