The Cuarteto Ribera is part of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León.
A Quartet that was born in 2012 in the heart of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León fruit of friendship and the same way of understanding music. Its members have been trained both nationally and internationally, in London, Utrecht and Paris.
Restless by nature, they successfully tackle all types of repertoire, from early music to Spanish musicians as well as contemporary music.
Cuarteto Ribera maintains a commitment to music, making it accessible to people with intellectual disabilities.
In the presentation of the event, Paula and Alexandra said: “Today we are the voice of Fundación Personas in Toro, but I represent colleagues from the centers of Morales del Vino, Carbajales de Alba and Puente de Sanabria, part of Rural Zamora, increasingly forgotten, of which Unamuno said that no one passed through here, nothing but the wind…..Where Fundación Personas is committed to inclusion, social value and comprehensive care throughout the life cycle. Bringing services to people and not people to services. We are people who learn to be great, without forgetting the small”.
At the end of the ceremony, ceramic plaques with the Collegiate Church of Toro, handmade in the Day Center of Toro, were presented.
To end the morning of music, the event closed with the phrase: “Remember that Disability is the extraordinary ability to be capable, because it is not about having the right to be equal, but to have the right to be different. How boring the world would be if we were all the same!”
