The students of Transition to Adult Life (TVA) of the Special Education School `El Pino de Obregón’ of Fundación Personas Valladolid, and through the City of Valladolid and the company Urbyplan have launched the workshop “Day on the city” in order to create together models that represent the city of their dreams.
On this day, there was a previous work that was developed in the classroom with the purpose of knowing how students and teachers imagined a city for everyone. Afterwards, all the proposals were collected in a document that was delivered to the City Council of Valladolid.
The second phase consisted of adapting the workshop material, in collaboration with Urbyplan, to be able to carry out this activity in the El Pino de Obregón school; its director, María Huete was happy with this experience and took the opportunity to highlight “the facilities, interest and involvement of this wonderful team of professionals”. The workshop has had a sensory approach, including in the models a myriad of natural elements and also adaptation to pictograms, so all people have been able to participate and enjoy the activity. Finally and by teams, the construction of the “city” proposal was carried out, which turned out to be a great success.

Fundación Personas is grateful for the visit of Manuel Saravia, Councilor for Urban Planning and Housing of the Valladolid City Council, who was interested in the experience and the proposals that the school has made to the City Council.
