Over the course of two days, Ángel Ortiz visited the El Pino de Obregón school and the Laguna and Obregón day centers of Fundación Personas.
He shared an exhaustive tour of classrooms, workshops, sensory stimulation room or TICS accompanied by the president Ángeles García, the general director Jesús Mazariegos and the delegate of the Foundation in Valladolid, Mª Eugenia del Olmo, together with the professionals responsible for the services. Complemented by an exhibition of the services we offer throughout the life cycle and in the field of education, care and employment.
Angel has shown an extraordinary interest and sensitivity for our daily action, showing his commitment to the whole disability collective. Also, in a colloquial masterclass he has instructed us on the journalistic work and the criteria in the elaboration and monitoring of each news item.
A fruitful meeting that revives the historical relationship between the two entities, dating back to the birth of ASPRONA in 1962 when the publication of an article in the newspaper, signed by Lorenzo Martínez Duque, caused many families with children with disabilities to come to light and create the second association of this nature that existed in Spain after ASPRONA Valencia.
