International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Our founding entities, very present.

Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, from Fundación Personas we want to remember that December 3rd is a date to celebrate and claim. Our founding entities join this wish from Guardo, Palencia, Segovia, Valladolid and Zamora.

The historical mission of all our founding associations for more than 60 years, as is the defense of the rights of people with disabilities, acquires on a day like December 3, a leading dimension and reaffirms our commitment to continue giving visibility to people with disabilities in their connection with a society oriented to equality.

Along with the daily work of our families, members and professionals, different activities and proposals have been planned to celebrate this day. Let’s make a brief review by delegations.

ADECAS Guardo

Schools full of positive messagesTocelebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, ADECAS Guardo has made an exhibition composed of positive messages, which have collaborated students from schools Vegarredonda, El Otero and Las Rozas, the town of Palencia.

Exhibition from 3 to 8 December 2021 Where:📍3rd floor Municipal Auditorium of Guardo ⏰ from 18:00 to 21:00 Thanks to all the students of the schools of Guardo who collaborate with their positive messages around #disability.

ASPANIS Palencia

“I want to, I can and I am able”.

To celebrate 3D, Professionals of Fundación Personas Palencia and Aspanis families have joined the march organized by FEDISPA to demand greater accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities. A route that has left from the Plaza de San Pablo and has been directed to the Plaza Mayor where a manifesto has been read to reinforce the message of diversity and inclusion. In addition, a wishing tree has also been installed in the Plaza San Francisco, where anyone who wants to, can hang their wishes for people with disabilities.

APADEFIM Segovia

On the occasion of 3D, in Segovia we have participated, as every year, in the event organized by the Accessibility Council of the City Council. A day in which the mayor of Segovia, Clara Luquero, has called for the normalization of people with disabilities. Faithful to the appointment, the president of Apadefim and Secretary of Fundación Personas, Maximino Valoria, who has been very well accompanied by a large group of users and professionals of our organization, have come to the Avenida del Acueducto.

ASPRONA Valladolid

On behalf of Fundación Personas, our president, Ángeles García, attended the event. In addition, Eva Martín, Head of Communication of Plena Inclusion Castilla y León read the manifesto in favor of easy reading, explaining how important it is that institutions are committed to information for all people.

ASPROSUB Zamora

Visit to the Autism Center of Zamora. Isidro Deza, delegate of Fundación Personas Zamora who has been able to learn about the services of this new center first hand along with representatives of entities dedicated to #disability.

In addition, Fundación Personas Zamora has collaborated in various events organized by the City Council in the Parque de La Marina. Among them a workshop of traditional games and one of Kandisky Kids.

“LOOK TOGETHER TO SEE MORE”

In addition, from Fundación Personas and close to the celebration of the 3D, we organized a few days before the presentation of the BOOK MIRAR Projectto focus on the artistic abilities that connect with society and go beyond the wall of invisibility. More than a hundred people attended this event held in the auditorium of the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid.
