Gullón visits the Fundación Virgen de Llano center in Aguilar de Campoo

The Virgen de Llano Foundation Center receives a visit from Gullón, strengthening its commitment to disability in Aguilar de Campoo.

The Corporate Director of Galletas de Gullón, Francisco Hevia, visited this afternoon the center of the Virgen de Llano Foundation in Aguilar de Campoo, the first integrated and multipurpose center for people with disabilities in Castilla y León.

During his visit he was accompanied by the general director of Fundación Personas and CEO of Grupo Lince, Jesús Mazariegos, and other members of the social entity and the biscuit company. Together they have made a tour to know the facilities of this building, which was built thanks to a donation of more than 5 million euros, which made Abundio Calderón and Purificación Ruiz, and began operating in 2013 with the aim of serving people with disabilities.

With this visit, Gullón demonstrates its commitment to the most vulnerable and dependent people within its Aguilar Plan announced in 2021, in order to generate a positive impact on the social environment of Aguilar de Campoo and the region of Montaña Palentina.

Fundación Virgen de Llano has three centers with a total of 80 places, located in the same building: -Residence Center -Occupational Center and Day Center. Fundación Personas took over the management of the centers in 2013. Both foundations share the same goals and have worked together since the beginning of the project to provide Aguilar de Campoo with a permanent resource for people with needs in the field of social services. In the labor area, Fundación Personas has 3 Special Employment Centers (CEE) – with a total staff of more than 900 workers, of which more than 90% have some kind of disability. Grupo LINCE is the CEE with the largest workforce in Castilla y León, promoted in 1985 by ASPRONA, whose purpose is to generate job opportunities for people with disabilities, preferably intellectual, in order to enhance their integral development and their contribution to society as full citizens.
