The National Hospitality Awards ceremony took place on November 13 at the Mutua Madrileña Auditorium (Madrid).
Manuel Fernandez, president of Fundación Personas, collected the award. He was accompanied by the director of Grupo Lince Daniel Clavero and Maximino Viloria, member of the board of directors of Grupo Lince.
The event was attended by the acting Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto; the Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida; the Delegate of Economy, Innovation and Employment, Miguel Ángel Redondo; the Delegate Councilor for Tourism, Almudena Maíllo; and the President of HOSTELERÍA DE ESPAÑA, José Luis Yzuel.
With these awards, HOSTELERÍA DE ESPAÑA wants to highlight the work carried out by the hospitality industry and its contribution to the economic development of the country, as well as to recognize those initiatives that are a clear example and a role model for other companies in the field.
Reyes Maroto expressed her satisfaction at participating in the event and said “our responsibility is to be here accompanying this celebration of the hospitality industry in Spain” and added “putting gastronomy at the center of political and public action is one of our objectives”.
For his part, Jose Luis Martinez said that “the summary is the happiness that the sector provides, from different perspectives”. At the same time he commented: “Beyond the figures generated in Madrid by the hotel and catering industry, you also generate one of the world capitals of gastronomy”.
“The daily work carried out by the professionals of the Special Employment Center, in collaboration with SERUNIÓN, has been recognized in the XIII Edition of these national awards.”
GRUPO LINCE ASPRONA SLU is the largest Special Employment Center in Castilla y León, with a staff of nearly 700 people, 90% of them with disabilities, and a track record of 35 years.
In 2015, hand in hand with SERUNION, Spain’s leading company in collective catering, what has become one of its most modern central kitchens was located in the Envite Bioclimatic Building (LINCE’s headquarters): more than 1,000 m2 of facilities and preparation of more than 8,000 meals a day.
In these facilities operates a work enclave of GRUPO LINCE for people with disabilities with special employability difficulties, a clear example of SERUNION’s level of commitment to the inclusion of this group in the labor market.
As an example of the level of quality of this kitchen, since 2015 it has been preparing meals for 80 schools in Castilla y León and, since 2018, the food for the Valladolid City Council’s home help service, which serves more than 400 elderly users every day in accordance with the strictest food safety standards and quality certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).
GRUPO LINCE offers its customers a wide range of services related to cleaning, gardening, marketing, industrial services and hospitality, in which in addition to its customer-oriented approach, it has an innovative support system that covers the needs of its workers to develop a normalized work activity aimed at improving their quality of life.
