Fundación Personas receives support from “la Caixa” Foundation for the ‘Mirar’ project

  • The social entity receives a financial contribution of 8,000 euros from the “la Caixa” Foundation through CaixaBank, whose network of branches enables it to detect social needs and channel aid.

The social entity will receive an economic contribution of 8,000 euros.

Mirar’ proposes art as a bridge to a greater creative social transformation, seeking to discover the artistic abilities of people with intellectual disabilities.

Fundación Personas was created thanks to committed families and has grown to become a large foundation with several work centers in Castilla y León, accompanying people with disabilities from early care, from 0 to 3 years old, to kindergarten and elementary school, special employment centers and residences, offering them comprehensive care throughout their lives.

Fundación Personas was founded in 2008 as a non-profit organization, with the aim of managing the centers and services of our founding entities and, in this way, respond to all the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Since its inception, the mission of Fundación Personas has been focused on improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and strengthening the welfare of their families. However, at present, the entity is expanding its services to support people with any type of disability, people in a situation of dependency, the elderly and groups at risk of social exclusion. Thanks to its territorial capillarity, CaixaBank’s branch network, the largest in Spain with a presence in 2,200 municipalities, can detect local needs and support the “la Caixa” Foundation in channeling financial aid to social entities. In 2022, CaixaBank branches helped to promote 5,624 social projects of 5,041 entities.
