Fundación Personas presents the MIRAR 2.0 collection

On the occasion of December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Fundación Personas presented this morning the MIRAR 2.0 collection at an event held in the hall of the Royal Academy of Arts and the Immaculate Conception of Valladolid.

Javier Cuevas, director of contents of the SER channel in Castilla y León, was the conductor of this event that began with the music of the cellist Jordi Creus, from the Ribera Quartet.

As host, Javier Lopez Uribe, president of the Royal Academy began by thanking Fundación Personas for its mission to “improve the world” and expressing his joy at having chosen the second oldest cultural institution in Valladolid to host this exhibition and celebrate disability.

For her part, Ángeles García, president of Fundación Personas, recalled that with this artistic proposal we celebrate one day but we have 365 days all year round to LOOK at capacities.

The MIRAR project is supported by Fundación La Caixa and its president, Gonzalo Cebrián Ruíz, did not want to miss this event and congratulated all the young creators: For our organization it is very satisfying to collaborate with projects that allow us to give back to society part of our profits. We especially love the MIRAR project because through painting and sculpture we seek to encourage creativity, to bring out the best of oneself.

Fundación Personas wants to continue giving continuity to the looks put on art. The MIRAR 2.0 Collection, exhibited at the Casa Museo Cervantes in Valladolid, is the result of an intense year of artistic work by 72 creators of the MIRAR 2.0 Project of Fundación Personas Guardo, Segovia, Aguilar de Campoo, Zamora, Palencia and Valladolid. It has the support of Fundación La Caixa and the mentorship of the humorist Leo Harlem.

Six paintings made with different techniques, all within the development of several online masterclasses and creative and interactive workshops.

The illusion as a flag that stimulates creation, improves self-esteem and allows us to project to society the diverse and infinite possibilities of looking, expanding, changing and creating looks.

An interactive collection where you can sit in the“philosophizing chair” or see on screen what is hidden in each work…all following the path of creativity with recycling and sustainability.

The exhibition, which will be open to the public for only 3 days, can be visited at the Casa Museo Cervantes Valladolid, from December 2 to 4 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.
