Fundación Personas, a reference entity in the disability and social and labor inclusion sector in Castilla y León, will be present, for the first time, in Emplea_T the second edition of the Job Fair, which this year will be in person and will be held on April 26, 2022 from 16 to 20.30h, at the Faculty of Economics and Business of Valladolid.

Fundación Personas thus begins a collaboration with the University of Valladolid on employability issues whose objective is to bring young students closer to the impact of social inclusion in the labor market on the lives of people with disabilities and the benefits for both companies and professionals. In this sense, it will focus on the types of professional profiles most in demand in a social organization such as this one, dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities and the welfare of their families.

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO BRING STUDENTS CLOSER TO THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL INCLUSION IN THE LABOR MARKET ON THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND THE BENEFITS FOR BOTH COMPANIES AND PROFESSIONALS.

In the labor area, Fundación Personas has 3 Special Employment Centers (CEE) – with a total staff of more than 900 workers, of which more than 90% have some kind of disability. Grupo LINCE is the CEE with the largest workforce in Castilla y León, promoted in 1985 by ASPRONA, whose purpose is to generate job opportunities for people with disabilities, preferably intellectual, in order to enhance their integral development and their contribution to society as full citizens.

What is Emplea_T

Emplea_T is jointly organized by the CEOE Valladolid and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the Employment Area of the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Employability, with the support of the City of Valladolid and the Provincial Council of Valladolid.

The objective of this job fair is to retain university talent in our city or province, since in many cases they “leave” because they do not know the nearest professional opportunities.

29 companies from Valladolid and the province will participate, with several presentations throughout the day in the Aula Magna of the School of Business and Economics.

Last year the first edition was held, although it was virtual due to the circumstances, however both participating companies and students (massive) expressed their satisfaction and the need to continue with this type of initiative.

As a novelty this year, students who wish to do so will be able to hand-deliver their curriculum vitae to the companies at their corresponding stands (on the first floor of the faculty) and obtain “in situ” information about the companies, profiles they are looking for, selection processes, internships, etc. at each of the assigned desks.

In addition, some of them will offer the opportunity for selection interviews with some students (by prior appointment with them), in order to serve as a first step in the employer-candidate approach. A place (classroom) will be set up for these processes.

About Fundación Personas

Fundación Personas was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y León: ADECAS Guardo, ASPANIS Palencia, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. To do this we provide comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle of a person. The founding associations belong to the family movement Plena Inclusion movement and bring 60 years of experience, share innovation and foster mutual collaboration.
