3D Disability Day: “Looking together to see more” the book of the MIRAR Project.

presentation Book Mirar creative inclusion

Close to the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, this year, from Fundación Personas we want to focus on the artistic abilities that connect with society and go beyond the wall of invisibility.

More than a hundred people joined us this morning at the presentation of the “Proyecto MIRAR Book Project” at the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid.

There was also a small exhibition of the works made by the 76 participants of this project throughout the year. All of them, together with the coaches of the program, attended this event accompanied by their mentor, the comedian Leo Harlem, who acted as master of ceremonies, the Valladolid writer Gustavo Martín Garzo, our president Ángeles García and Javier Marín, from “la Caixa” Foundation.

The Book MIRAR gathers works by all the creators as well as masterclasses by the artist-coaches in order to share skills by focusing on our abilities and offering a practical and useful guide for readers to unleash their creativity.

We want to connect abilities with society also through art and jump the wall of invisibility. Enjoying and admiring the diverse capabilities of people is an adventure that we want to share day by day and of course by drawing.”

This presentation, close to the 3D day of 2021 (International Day of Persons with Disabilities) wants to show the artistic contributions as a reference that ALL OF US PAINT, LEARN and share capabilities.
