The OSCYL and Fundación Personas at the closing ceremony of the 200th anniversary of the Prado Museum

2

On Saturday December 14 in the Sala de las Meninas of the Prado Museum, the young musicians of the PIO project (Iberian Orchestral Project) will perform works by Mozart, conducted by Alejandro Garrido. An innovative proposal around works by Mozart and Stravinski in which Fundación Personas has participated by making the costumes.

Fundación Personas actively collaborates in the Iberian Orchestral Project, thanks to the involvement of people with different abilities in the making of the costumes designed by Nina Cruz in the textile workshops of Fundación Personas in Guardo (Palencia).

The PIO Project of entrepreneurship and leadership began in 2017 as a unique initiative of the Socio-educational Area of the Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León, with the collaboration of the Miguel Delibes Cultural Center, involving young musicians from Andorra, Spain and Portugal selected by the main groups of young instrumentalists from the three countries. As it is a multidisciplinary work, three dancers from the Escuela Profesional de Danza de Castilla y León and the young Portuguese baritone Frederico de Vasconcelos, as well as some twenty young musicians, are also taking part.

The objectives of the IOP are innovation, disruption, daring, commitment, training, leadership, multiculturalism, territory. In the context of the OSCyL, the Iberian Orchestral Project, apart from focusing on high-level artistic training, expands with training to prepare young people for the future, responding to the high professionalization of the sector and a highly competitive environment.

It also focuses on providing a different vision of musical and corporal expression and staging. In fact, the musician becomes an interdisciplinary figure: dancer, musician and actor at the same time, taking the idea that through the interdisciplinary, musical interpretation is enhanced, where young musicians act without score.

Fundación Personas joins these objectives and contributes artisan skills, creative social participation, values of inclusion and social transformation.
