With this latest certificate, Fundación Personas continues to add Day Centers and Residences that demonstrate the level of quality of both service and care for people with intellectual disabilities.
Valladolid. – July 6, 2021 –
Fundación Personas, a non-profit social entity, leader in the care of people with intellectual disabilities in Castilla y León throughout their life cycle, continues its commitment to the gradual certification of its centers with the requirements of the UNE 158101:2015 standard.
Proof of this is the new seal obtained for the care complex that the organization has in the Valladolid town of Laguna de Duero. This achievement is added to those already obtained in Cuéllar (Segovia) and Palencia, with the “Mar de Pinares” and “Centro Ribera del Carrión” residences and day centers, respectively. It is not in vain that Fundación Personas Palencia became the first non-profit social entity in Castilla y León to achieve this.
In 2022 it is planned to implement the requirements of the 158101:2015 standard at the Carbajales de Alba residence and day care center in Zamora.
The UNE 158101 certification guarantees the quality of service and care for the elderly or disabled in day centers, residences and night centers (public or private). It is, therefore, a certificate based on the full welfare of the residents, as well as on the ethics and specialization of the professionals. It is a standard that values high professional training, which requires adequate facilities, as well as the development of a rigorous control of the services offered. This is something that Fundación Personas demonstrates continues to be maintained over time, with the awarding of this third certificate.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Fundación Personas has been certified with the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 standard in all its centers since 2017. Last June, the external audits of the FUNDACIÓN PERSONAS Quality Management System Certification follow-up were successfully passed, where the implementation of the System has been verified with respect to the requirements specified in this reference standard, and the scope has been extended to the entity’s Guidance and Labor Intermediation Service.
This certification accredits the implementation of a quality management system based on the interaction of processes aimed at continuous improvement in the care of people with disabilities.
About Fundación Personas
Fundación Personas was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y León: ADECAS Guardo, ASPANIS Palencia, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by providing comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle.
