The “la Caixa”Foundationand Autocyl Group, in collaboration with CaixaBank and CaixaBank Payments & Consumer, handed over the keys to a new 9-seater vehicle that will meet the mobility needs of the users of the centers that Fundación Personas has in Valladolid..
All thanks to the‘Fórmula Solidaria‘ program, an initiative of CaixaBank, which channels funds from the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation and adds them to the contributions of companies and individuals with the aim of helping social entities to have the material means to continue working for the benefit of the most needy people and groups.
The action carried out in Valladolid belongs to the ‘Solidarity Mobility‘ modality, which aims to provide sustainable or adapted vehicles to social entities that urgently need them. CaixaBank and CaixaBank Payments & Consumer have channeled a grant from the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation and the collaboration of Grupo Autocyl have contributed to facilitate the acquisition of the vehicle. The Eusebio Sacristán Foundation also received, at the same event, the keys to another car that will undoubtedly help to further its mission of working towards the full inclusion of children and adults through sport.
The award ceremony, which took place at Opel Vepisa, was attended by Marc Benhamou, Northwest territorial director of CaixaBank; Ángel Concejo, general director of the Autocyl Group; Eusebio Sacristán, trustee and founder of the Eusebio Sacristán Foundation; and Jesús Mazariegos, general director of the Fundación Personas.
The acquisition of the new vehicle will facilitate the movement of people with intellectual disabilities who are beneficiaries of the activities of the entity to attend the occupational center Lince Talleres, where day activities are developed, or receive medical attention in health centers.
Jesús Mazariegos, CEO of the Foundation, said that “we are grateful to ‘la Caixa’ Foundation and Autocyl Group for the donation of this vehicle that will allow the mobility of our users by making our services available to them. Undoubtedly, this type of solidarity projects allow social entities like ours the necessary support to continue fulfilling our mission to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by providing comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle.”
