The automotive and mobility sector continues to move towards a more diverse and inclusive future. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, FACYL – Automotive and Mobility Cluster of Castilla y León organized a special day to showcase female talent in this field.

Under the slogan #CadaVezSomosMás, this meeting in Valladolid brought together 13 women professionals from the sector, who shared their experiences and reflected on the challenges and opportunities to promote equality in a traditionally masculinized sector.
Among them was our colleague Inma Cimarra, machining operator at Servicios Auxiliares a la Industria of Lince GroupShe emphasized the importance of visibility and support in the professional growth of women:
“Grupo Lince has made it easier for me to work in different companies in the automotive sector and to train doing what I like. We women have to believe it more.”
“Companies would have to advertise women working more, let people know what the automotive world is and what is done in the different positions.”
Currently, only 25% of jobs in the automotive and mobility industry in Spain are held by women, although this figure is increasing. During the conference, participants agreed on the importance of having more female role models, encouraging early vocations in STEM careers and promoting a more inclusive business culture.
