The social entity will allocate the 9,600 euros of the donation received by the La Caixa Foundation to improve equipment and increase the number of staff in the day care centers.
To cope with the threat of the virus but without ceasing to provide service and care for people with intellectual disabilities with all the guarantees, Zamora People Foundation has launched the creation of bubble groups for the development of the activities of three of its Day Centers in the city. This has increased the allocations and the ratio of staff required to meet the new structure.
For this reinforcement of services, Fundación Personas Zamora has counted on the collaboration of the ‘La Caixa’ Foundation, which through its network of CaixaBank branches, has made a donation of 9,600 euros to cover different needs derived from the consequences of the pandemic. Specifically, the amount of this donation is intended to cover the implementation of day services in bubble groups with new equipment and improvement of the staff ratio.
For the time being, the three bubble groups have started with the development of activities in Zamora at the headquarters of Fundación Personas, in Toro Street, the Activity Center in Obispo de Acuña Street and in the premises provided by the Santo Entierro Brotherhood.
The collaboration between the two institutions makes it possible for a social and non-profit organization such as Fundación Personas to continue offering its centers and services to meet the needs of people with intellectual disabilities in the city of Zamora.
About Fundación Personas
Fundación Personas was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y León: ADECAS Guardo, ASPANIS Palencia, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by providing comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle.
