Fundación Personas improves the employability level of 2,624 workers in Castilla y León

Intervention OTO Program in San Isidro Micas Foundation - Amayuelas de Abajo - Palencia

After seven months, the participants of the OTO Program (Orientation for Employed Workers), financed by ECyL and the Junta de Castilla y León, have improved their skills to pursue their employment objectives.

Fundación Personasa reference entity in the care of intellectual disabilities, dependency and elderly people and people at risk of social exclusion in Castilla y León, has successfully completed the OTO program (Orientation for Employed Workers) with a total of 2,624 participants. All of them have developed, from January to July 2022 This program has allowed them to strengthen and improve their skills in order to be promoted in their current jobs or to obtain an adequate development of their career. This program has allowed the social entity to expand its presence to all the provinces of Castilla y León.

PROJECT FIGURES

The OTO project, subsidized by the ECYL, began on January 10, 2022 and its objective was to assist 2,405 people in all the provinces of the Community of Castilla y León. Its voluntary nature on the part of the participants (active workers), did not make the goal of reaching that figure easy. However, thanks to the group of professionals who have been linked to the Program and the collaboration of Companies and Training Entities, it has been possible to close the year with the attention to 2,624 people.

16 professionals have participated in the project, meeting the specific needs of the project’s four areas of intervention; training and access routes, where 1,927 interventions have been carried out, Professional Reorientation with 698 participations, Promotion through training with 351 requests and Professional Qualifications System with 320 interventions.

In general terms, the development of the project has been a success for Fundación Personas, not only because of the fulfillment of the proposed objectives, but also because of the level of satisfaction shown by all the people who have participated, which has allowed them to improve their level of employability, acquire new knowledge and transfer their learning to each of the personalized itineraries, always with a process of accompaniment by the technician.

This program has allowed Fundación Personas to expand its presence to all the provinces of Castilla y León.

In the development of the Program, the great diffusion that has been given to all the business and social environments and Public Organizations, as well as the participation of the Mixed Programs of training and employment, which have received this resource as a very interesting support for the people who were being trained. The candidates have been able to participate in both group and individual orientation actions, and have always had the resource available throughout the duration of the project. The most demanded actions in guidance have been to know all the training plans, accreditation of competences and to know the labor reform.

The management of Fundación Personas wishes to emphasize the importance of projects such as OTO, which provide society with free resources that allow them to receive advice and support in their personalized itineraries, and the importance of the Administration continuing to call for such projects.

About Fundación Personas

Fundación Personas was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y León: ADECAS Guardo, ASPANIS Palencia, APADEFIM Segovia, ASPRONA Valladolid and ASPROSUB Zamora. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. To do this we provide comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle of a person. The founding associations belong to the family movement Plena Inclusion movement and bring 60 years of experience, share innovation and foster mutual collaboration.

With a regional presence, we are present in 30 towns in Castilla y León, urban centers and rural areas, where we attend to situations of disability or dependence and provide support for the promotion of personal autonomy. We also offer support and training to people at risk of social exclusion. Our activity is governed by criteria of quality and proximity in service; efficiency and transparency in management; equal opportunities, accessibility and respect for diversity as a driver of social transformation.

In the educational-care area, we manage 5,300 places daily in 75 centers, distributed in more than 30 locations in Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Zamora. In the labor area, Fundación Personas has 3 Special Employment Centers (CEE) Lince Group S.L.U., APADEFIM 2000 S.L.U.. and CEE Fundación Personas – with a workforce of 939 employees, more than 90% of whom have some type of disability.
