This week we lived a very special day at the Obregón Assistance Center of Fundación Personas (Valladolid), on the occasion of the“Good People’s Day“, the solidarity initiative of the Carrefour Solidarity Foundation. Carrefour Solidarity Foundation.
From 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, 15 volunteers from Carrefour, along with 3 managers, joined professionals and people with intellectual disabilities from the center to carry out improvement work in the children’s home.
During the morning, the walls of the entrance and corridors were painted, the terrace was decorated with planters and an artificial grass carpet, and everything was left ready to enjoy a more welcoming space. In addition, leftover materials were left at the center as a donation.
In total, 5 professionals from Fundación Personas, 2 family members and 7 people with intellectual disabilities participated, sharing work, enthusiasm and moments of coexistence with the Carrefour team.
