“JUMP OVER THE WALL OF INVISIBILITY”.
2020. The year in which time stood still. The coronavirus has devastated us. Millions of people have been sickened and died. Others have lost their jobs. The people who have suffered the most have been the elderly and people with disabilities. And this is why, from Fundación Personas and on the occasion of the International and European Day of People with Disabilities that we celebrate every year on December 3, we would like to make it clear that:
People with #disabilities and their families want to participate in the social and economic rebuilding after the pandemic. We want to have a say and to be taken into account when it comes to fixing all the damage Covid has done to us.
To this end, we propose:
- Ensuring universal accessibility
- Including clearer social rights in the Constitution
- Creation of jobs for people with disabilities
- To have the necessary support
- Supporting our families
- Access to technology
On this day, at Fundación Personas we want to continue contributing values to society in order to participate in a scenario of reflection with the aim of sharing capabilities.

That is why we wanted to join the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, presenting theurban mural of Proyecto MIRAR, which has been made in recent weeks by 60 people with disabilities and is the result of the fusion of words, colors and images. en Asprosub
This action is complemented by the daily work that each of the family associations that make up Fundación Personas have planned to celebrate this day.
From Adecas has made a video to commemorate the Day of Disability and Volunteering 2020. The video, in which users and volunteers of the Guardense center are protagonists, aims to show support to users and recognition to all their families.
From Aspanis celebrated with the following video made with great enthusiasm where we show the multiple capabilities that we have
Maximino Viloria, president of Apadefim-Fundación Personas, on behalf of the sectorial council of Accessibility of the Segovia City Council, has read the manifesto to commemorate the International and European Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The reading took place in a ceremony presided over by the mayor of the city, Clara Luquero, and the Councilor for Social Services, Equality, Health and Consumer Affairs, Ana Peñalosa, in which the linden tree of the Avenida del Acueducto was decorated with Christmas motifs.

From Asprona together with the City Council of Valladolid was celebrated with a video showing the multiple capabilities we have.
The historical task of all the founding associations, such as the defense of the rights of people with disabilities, acquires on a day like today a protagonist dimension and reaffirms our commitment to continue giving visibility to people with disabilities in their connection with a society oriented to equality.
