Funper Project
Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality for Rehabilitation in Cerebral Palsy
What is FUNPER?
The FUNPER project develops a rehabilitation tool based on artificial intelligence and virtual reality for people with cerebral palsy in the upper extremities. Its objective is to improve the quality of life and functional autonomy of patients through a playful and adaptive system that allows them to perform exercises such as painting, while their progress is objectively evaluated through intelligent algorithms.
It is promoted by Fundación Personas, ITCL Centro Tecnológico, and the University of Jaén, and in 2024 it was awarded one of the AEMETIC 2024 AI Awards, which identify, value, and recognize the most outstanding projects and experiences in the application of artificial intelligence in the social and professional fields, and were presented during the national AI Summit 2024, held in Madrid.
