{"id":20413,"date":"2021-06-07T09:20:30","date_gmt":"2021-06-07T09:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacionpersonas.es\/fundacion-personas-cuellar-boosts-local-development-with-its-new-kitchen-assistant-training-project\/"},"modified":"2026-02-07T12:41:31","modified_gmt":"2026-02-07T12:41:31","slug":"fundacion-personas-cuellar-boosts-local-development-with-its-new-kitchen-assistant-training-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionpersonas.es\/en\/fundacion-personas-cuellar-boosts-local-development-with-its-new-kitchen-assistant-training-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Fundaci\u00f3n Personas Cu\u00e9llar boosts local development with its new kitchen assistant training project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thanks to the financial collaboration of the Caja Segovia Foundation and CaixaBank, 15 people with intellectual disabilities will benefit from this new occupational training action.<\/li><\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project: &#8220;Kitchen assistant with training in healthy eating&#8221; of Fundaci\u00f3n Personas in Cu\u00e9llar has been selected<br\/>by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caixabank.es\/index_es.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.caixabank.es\/index_es.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">CaixaBank<\/span><\/strong><\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacioncajasegovia.es\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.fundacioncajasegovia.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Caja Segovia Foundation<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in the sixth call for &#8216;Grants for Social Action Projects 2021&#8217;, which aims to promote local development and employment by supporting sectors of the population at risk of social exclusion and improving the quality of life of people with disabilities, the elderly and other socially vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One more year, the entity Fundaci\u00f3n Personas in Cu\u00e9llar will launch a new training project for a total of <strong>15 people with intellectual disabilities<\/strong> from the day and occupational centers, thanks to this economic collaboration with the Caja Segovia Foundation and CaixaBank.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>objective<\/strong> of this project is to train a group of people with intellectual disabilities from the Ntra. Sra. de los \u00c1ngeles Center of Fundaci\u00f3n Personas Cu\u00e9llar in the skills and abilities, as well as in the social and communicational values necessary to perform the tasks and functions of the kitchen assistant profile, which will allow them in the short term to have an occupational, therapeutic and rehabilitative training activity in their center. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group of people with intellectual disabilities demand training that allows in the short term to provide an occupation to them, (occupational activity protected and supported). Therefore, we have raised a concrete, close and realistic project using the own means of the Mar de Pinares de Cu\u00e9llar Centers, for the development of training in the profile of kitchen assistant with training in healthy eating. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have adapted to the current situation and the context we are currently living in due to the Covid19 pandemic, providing the necessary preventive and safety measures to provide training with all the guarantees, and in the pedagogical modalities required.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The program develops activities such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cfBasic culinary elaborations with healthy food and maintaining hygiene standards.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf Identify the different equipment and tools used in the kitchen: terminology, description, characteristics and.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">types.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf Basic maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of equipment and tools.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf Apply personal hygiene measures reflecting on the importance of personal hygiene. Personal hygiene and hygiene <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in the workplace. Knowledge of techniques for washing and disinfecting fruits and vegetables. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf Preparation of healthy dishes and snacks. Study and knowledge of healthy eating and its impact on the <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">health.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf Perform cooking of raw and\/or preprocessed foods according to their cooking method. Place <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">correctly the food according to its colors, shapes and arrangement on the plate.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project, which began on <strong>June 1, 2021<\/strong>, is scheduled to end on <strong>November 15, 2021<\/strong> and is intended to be maintained over time. The theoretical training will take place at the Ntra. Sra. de los \u00c1ngeles Center and the practical training in the facilities and services of the Fundaci\u00f3n Personas centers in Cu\u00e9llar.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">The main objective of these trainings is to achieve the normalization, inclusion and improvement of the quality of life of people with intellectual and\/or developmental disabilities, since the work favors their personal autonomy, their participation in the life of the community and improve their level of self-esteem.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#197cb9\"><em>About Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionpersonas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/a> was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y Le\u00f3n: <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adecas-guardo.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">ADECAS<\/a> Guardo, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aspanis-palencia.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">ASPANIS<\/a> Palencia, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.apadefim-segovia.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">APADEFIM<\/a> Segovia, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asprona-valladolid.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">ASPRONA<\/a> Valladolid and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.asprosub-zamora.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">ASPROSUB<\/a> Zamora<\/strong>. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by providing comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle. The founding associations belong to the <strong>Plena Inclusion<\/strong> family movement and bring 60 years of experience, share innovation and foster mutual collaboration.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">With a regional presence, we are <strong>present in 30 towns in Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, urban centers and rural areas, where we attend to situations of disability or dependence and provide support for the promotion of personal autonomy. We also offer support and training to people at risk of social exclusion.  Our activity is governed by criteria of quality and proximity in service; efficiency and transparency in management; <strong>equal opportunities, accessibility and respect for diversity as a driver of social transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-cyan-blue-background-color has-background has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>educational-care area<\/strong>, we manage <strong>5,300 places<\/strong> daily <strong>in 75 centers<\/strong>, distributed in more than 30 locations in Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Zamora.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>labor area<\/strong>, Fundaci\u00f3n Personas has <strong>3 Special Employment Centers<\/strong> (CEE) <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/grupolince.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8211; Grupo Lince<\/a> S.L.U., <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/apadefim2000.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">APADEFIM 2000 S.L.U.<\/a> and CEE Fundaci\u00f3n Personas &#8211; with a staff of <strong>900 workers<\/strong>, more than 90% of whom have some type of disability. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FOUNDATION PEOPLE IN FIGURES<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>5,300 places (disability and risk of exclusion)<\/li><li>2,500 people with disabilities served<\/li><li>3,000 families<\/li><li>75 operational work centers<\/li><li>30 locations<\/li><li>5 Delegations<\/li><li>3 Special Employment Centers<\/li><li>1,800 professionals<\/li><li>900 workers with disabilities<\/li><\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-background has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\"\/>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#197cb9\"><em>CaixaBank, a benchmark in socially responsible banking<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CaixaBank <strong>is an entity with a social vocation<\/strong>. Thanks to the territorial capillarity of its branch network, it detects local needs and supports the &#8220;la Caixa&#8221; Foundation in the distribution of aid which, in 2020, <strong>reached more than 6,900 social entities to implement 8,500 projects<\/strong>. This year, the entity has added to its lines of action the launch of social and environmental calls for proposals in collaboration with foundations with deep roots in ten autonomous communities.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, CaixaBank, in collaboration with &#8220;la Caixa&#8221; Foundation, develops solidarity initiatives such as &#8216;No Household without Food&#8217;, in force until June 30, which last year raised <strong>3.4 million euros for food banks throughout Spain<\/strong>. CaixaBank Social Action has been promoting volunteering for 15 years and, in 2020, a total of 4,600 committed people participated in its &#8216;Corporate Volunteering Program&#8217;, which benefited 133,000 vulnerable people. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-pale-pink-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">CaixaBank maintains a commitment to financial inclusion through products and services for vulnerable groups and social entities and with its presence in 100% of towns with more than 10,000 inhabitants and 94% of those with more than 5,000.
