On September 19, the closing conference RuralCare: long-term care focused on people in rural areas was held. The event took place in the Palacio de Congresos Conde Ans\u00farez of the UVa<\/mark><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

Fundaci\u00f3n Personas provides support in the RuralCare Program RuralCare<\/mark><\/a> Program of the Junta de Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/mark><\/a>with personalized home care.<\/p>\n\n

From Fundaci\u00f3n Personas we are sharing the results of the RuralCare project at the closing conference with the participation of our general director, Jes\u00fas Mazariegos<\/strong> and our colleague and project manager, Laura Merino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The Councilor for Family and Equal Opportunities, Isabel Blanco, took advantage of the presentation of the results of the program to highlight its “clear rurality”, since it has brought advantages in the area of care but also created jobs, settled the population and promoted equal opportunities.<\/p>\n\n

The Councilor was pleased that Rural Care has demonstrated that it is “possible” and “viable” to offer personalized care in the environment where people live. The initial objective was to attend to 150 elderly people, although in the end there were 183. <\/p>\n\n

About Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y Le\u00f3n: ADECAS<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Guardo, ASPANIS<\/mark><\/a> <\/strong>Palencia, APADEFIM<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Segovia, ASPRONA<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Valladolid and ASPROSUB<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Zamora. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. To do this we provide comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle of a person. The founding associations belong to the family movement Plena Inclusion<\/a><\/strong> movement and bring 60 years of experience, share innovation and foster mutual collaboration.<\/p>\n\n

With a regional presence, we are present in 30 towns in Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, urban centers and rural areas, where we attend to situations of disability or dependence and provide support for the promotion of personal autonomy. We also offer support and training to people at risk of social exclusion. Our activity is governed by criteria of quality and proximity in service; efficiency and transparency in management; equal opportunities, accessibility and respect for diversity as a driver of social transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In the educational-care area<\/strong>, we manage 5,300 places daily in 75 centers, distributed in more than 30 locations in Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Zamora. In the labor area<\/strong>, Fundaci\u00f3n Personas has 3 Special Employment Centers<\/strong> (CEE) Lince Group<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> S.L.U., APADEFIM 2000 S.L.U.<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>. and CEE Fundaci\u00f3n Personas – with a workforce of 939 employees<\/strong>, more than 90% of whom have some type of disability.<\/p>\n\n
