The plenary hall of the City Council of Toro<\/mark><\/a> hosted the closing ceremony of the academic year of the Univerusal, The Inclusive University, a project promoted by the University of Salamanca<\/mark><\/a> in collaboration with the City Council of Toro and the Zamora Provincial Council<\/mark><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

The closing ceremony took place in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall and welcomed the 7 students from the Toro day care center of<\/strong> Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/mark><\/a>. All of them have participated in this inclusive program that for the first time has been launched in the town of Zamora. <\/p>\n\n

UNIVERUSAL <\/strong>is aimed at including people with intellectual disabilities or mental health problems in the University as a formula for personal growth in accordance with the idea of learning for all.<\/p>\n\n

The program has included several academic courses<\/strong>. The training has been given by university professors and experts in the different branches with a wide range of humanistic, scientific, historical, artistic and artistic topics….. <\/p>\n\n

Fundaci\u00f3n Personas congratulates them for their commitment, effort and discipline.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

About Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> was created in 2008 by five associations in Castilla y Le\u00f3n: ADECAS<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Guardo, ASPANIS<\/mark><\/a> <\/strong>Palencia, APADEFIM<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Segovia, ASPRONA<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Valladolid and ASPROSUB<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Zamora. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. To do this we provide comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle of a person. The founding associations belong to the family movement Plena Inclusion<\/a><\/strong> movement and bring 60 years of experience, share innovation and foster mutual collaboration.<\/p>\n\n

With a regional presence, we are present in 30 towns in Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, urban centers and rural areas, where we attend to situations of disability or dependence and provide support for the promotion of personal autonomy. We also offer support and training to people at risk of social exclusion. Our activity is governed by criteria of quality and proximity in service; efficiency and transparency in management; equal opportunities, accessibility and respect for diversity as a driver of social transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In the educational-care area<\/strong>, we manage 5,300 places daily in 75 centers, distributed in more than 30 locations in Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Zamora. In the labor area<\/strong>, Fundaci\u00f3n Personas has 3 Special Employment Centers<\/strong> (CEE) Lince Group<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> S.L.U., APADEFIM 2000 S.L.U.<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>. and CEE Fundaci\u00f3n Personas – with a workforce of 939 employees<\/strong>, more than 90% of whom have some type of disability.<\/p>\n\n
