Climate change and sustainability issues have had and will continue to have serious and lasting consequences on our social, economic and environmental development. The most vulnerable and marginalized people suffer the most dire effects. It is increasingly evident that <strong>women are more vulnerable to the impact of climate change than men,<\/strong> as they make up the majority of the world&#8217;s poor and are more dependent on natural resources that are under threat from climate change.   <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionpersonas.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/e65ef757-001f-ab30-e4ad-5c2a2718a2b8.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10481\" width=\"525\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fundacionpersonas.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/e65ef757-001f-ab30-e4ad-5c2a2718a2b8.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/fundacionpersonas.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/e65ef757-001f-ab30-e4ad-5c2a2718a2b8-300x197.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time,<strong>women and girls are effective and powerful leaders driving change <\/strong>for climate mitigation and adaptation. They are involved in sustainable initiatives around the world, and their participation and leadership generate more effective climate action. To achieve sustainable development and greater gender equality, it is essential to continue to explore opportunities, as well as constraints, to enable women and girls to have a voice and equal participation in climate change decision-making.    <strong>Without gender equality today, a sustainable and egalitarian future will remain out of reach.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-purple-color has-text-color has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Women. Disability. Equality  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Fundaci\u00f3n Personas we also join the celebration of 8M, echoing the campaign that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plenainclusion.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Plena Inclusion<\/a> has launched in defense of the disability collective, under the slogan <strong>#DaLaCaraXLaIgualdad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year the focus is on highlighting the role of women with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by providing comprehensive services, in the environment and covering all stages of the life cycle. The founding associations belong to the <strong>Plena Inclusion<\/strong> family movement and bring 60 years of experience, share innovation and foster mutual collaboration.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">With a regional presence, we are <strong>present in 30 towns in Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, urban centers and rural areas, where we attend to situations of disability or dependence and provide support for the promotion of personal autonomy. We also offer support and training to people at risk of social exclusion.
