The Rector of the USAL<\/mark><\/a>Juan Manuel Corchado and the new president of Fundaci\u00f3n Personas, Carlos Mart\u00edn, signed a collaboration agreement for the creation of the Chair “Fundaci\u00f3n Personas: Disability and future”, promoted by the INICO<\/mark><\/a>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

The University of Salamanca and Fundaci\u00f3n Personas have formalized a collaboration agreement that marks a milestone in the joint commitment to inclusion and the rights of people with disabilities.<\/strong> As a result of this agreement, the Chair “Fundaci\u00f3n Personas: disability and future” was created, promoted by the University Institute for Community Integration (INICO) and directed by Professor Cristina Jenaro, together with a team formed by Emiliano D\u00edez Villoria, director of INICO, and Professor Noelia E. Flores Robaina.<\/p>\n\n

Among the objectives of this innovative chair are the creation of a space of reference for research, training, knowledge transfer and dissemination of projects and initiatives that favor a positive impact on the quality of life and citizenship of people with disabilities, their families and professionals in the sector. <\/strong> The activities of the Chair promoted by INICO and Fundaci\u00f3n Personas will focus on three main areas: training, research and dissemination <\/strong>. Internship programs will be developed in social enterprises, postgraduate scholarships, TFM tutoring, doctorates and university micro-credentials focused on the inclusion of vulnerable groups and the promotion of new employment opportunities.In the field of research, both entities will collaborate in studies on quality of working life, artificial intelligence applied to the social sector, development of social and health patents and awards for academic work related to inclusion and scientific articles.Finally, the agreement provides for the dissemination<\/strong> of content and research conducted through corporate websites, management of social networks and periodical publications, as well as the organization of technical seminars, conferences and seminars.<\/p>\n\n

About Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Personas Foundation<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by the merger of five family associations with more than 60 years of work in favor of intellectual disabilities in Castilla y Le\u00f3n (Castilla y Le\u00f3n, Spain).ADECAS<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Guardo, ASPANIS<\/mark><\/a> <\/strong>Palencia, APADEFIM<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Segovia, ASPRONA<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Valladolid and ASPROSUB<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Zamora). It currently has almost 100 centers and services, distributed in 30 municipalities, a staff of 1,800 professionals, 2,500 people served and providing support to 3,000 families. Its work covers the entire life cycle, from early care, special education, vocational training, leisure and sports, to special employment centers with more than 850 workers with disabilities on staff. It promotes a model based on social innovation, quality, proximity, inclusion and respect for individual rights. It works closely with families, professionals, public administrations and companies.
