Fundaci\u00f3n Personas hosted a working meeting focused on analyzing the difficulties and progress in the implementation of Law 8\/2021, on support for the legal capacity of people with disabilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The event brought together some twenty participants, among them Mauricio Mu\u00f1oz, Magistrate Delegate for Disability in Castilla y Le\u00f3n, and M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Burgos, Prosecutor Delegate for Disability in the Community. Professionals and families from Fundaci\u00f3n Personas also participated, along with representatives from Centro San Juan de Dios and FUTUDIS.<\/p>\n\n

The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of dialogue and collaboration, made it possible to share experiences and proposals for improvement<\/strong> on the challenges posed by the implementation of the new support model. Among the main challenges mentioned are the lack of resources, the pending regulatory development of some aspects of the law and the impact on other administrative and labor areas.<\/p>\n\n

This conference is part of the joint work promoted by the Federation and the Network of Jurists of Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, which seeks to strengthen the connection between the legal field and disability entities. Similar meetings were previously held in \u00c1vila and Le\u00f3n, bringing together a total of more than 60 professionals from the judicial and social fields.<\/p>\n\n

From Fundaci\u00f3n Personas, we are proud to have ceded our space to promote this necessary exchange, which helps to improve coordination between entities and legal operators<\/strong>, and, ultimately, to ensure better care and protection of the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

About Fundaci\u00f3n Personas<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Personas is a reference entity in Castilla y Le\u00f3n with a social base of 3000 families and dedicated to the care of people with intellectual disabilities. Created in 2008 by five associations ((ADECAS<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Guardo, ASPANIS<\/mark><\/a> <\/strong>Palencia, APADEFIM<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Segovia, ASPRONA<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Valladolid and ASPROSUB<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Zamora) in the region, its purpose is to accompany people in all stages of their lives, providing the necessary individualized support, allowing them to develop their life project in a full and satisfactory way, with a vocation for social transformation. It has more than 2,000 professionals and provides daily assistance to 2,300 people with disabilities in 140 locations and 100 operational centers in Castilla y Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n
